Lamoulère is ideally located in the beautiful Quercy Blanc area of the Tarn et Garonne, easily accessed by road, rail and air, being just 1.5 hours away from Bergerac and Toulouse Airports.
The economy flights into Bergerac Airport, followed by a short drive through delightful countryside make travelling to Lamoulère a pleasure, and hiring a car at Bergerac is quick and efficient.
Only five minutes away is the very charming hill top medieval bastide village of Lauzerte, with its sweeping views across stunning landscapes. that are the hallmark of ‘the fruit basket’.
This area is covered with serried ranks of vines and orchards, marking the region out as one which enjoys long, hot summers.
Situated close by are many other inviting and picture-postcard villages such as Castelnau-Montratier and Montcuq, home of the world-famous three-day horse racing festival held each November.
Slightly further afield, but easily accessed from Lamoulère are the wine centres of Cahors and Gaillac and of course Montauban, a city planned in the 14th century with its beautiful pink ‘Toulousian’ brick buildings.
The excellent road, rail and air networks in France mean that you are never far away from anywhere and Lamoulère is ideally placed for visits to the wine capital of the world, Bordeaux; to the regional capital, Toulouse and the Pyrénées to the south.
Further south still, yet only two and a half hours away is the glitz and glamour of the Mediterranean.
